Alberta is Coming On Like Gangbusters - Economic Update Video by Alex Carrick
The Alberta population growth is on track to catch B.C. in 2026.
In the latest population numbers from Statistics Canada, Alberta is coming on like gangbusters.
The country as a whole added 400,000 in the last 12 months, and Alberta was the province with the largest share of that total: one-third. This number set a new record, both in terms of net interprovincial migration and immigrant arrivals.
The year-over-year increase in Canada’s population was +1.2%. Alberta increased three times as fast, +3.5%. Saskatchewan took second place with +1.9%.
