Product Specifications
Reed Construction Data’s MANU-SPEC® product specifications make manufacturers’ proprietary product specifications, organized in a 3-part format according to CSI’s Manual of Practice, available in a standard electronic format, allowing specifiers to quickly insert the information directly into project specifications. Because MANU-SPEC is compatible with leading master specification systems such as AIA MASTERSPEC® and SPECTEXT®, and word processing software, it can be used as a simple reference for copying and pasting language into office master specifications, or in its entirety as part of the project manual.
Technical Data Sheets
Our SPEC-DATA® technical data sheets provides information in the 10 areas that the AEC community needs: product name, manufacturer contact data, product description, technical data, installation recommendations, product availability and costs, warranty, maintenance, technical services, and filing systems. Written and distributed for you by Reed Construction Data, they are an objective, third party resource preferred by architects and specifiers. No fluff. No boasts. Just the facts needed for an accurate product evaluation.
CAD Documents
CAD allows design professionals to create, manage and share 2D and 3D designs electronically that they can then seamlessly insert them into their own drawings. This increases manufacturers’ opportunities for specification and provides an efficient, cost-effective way for manufacturers to deliver product information to architectural and engineering professionals.
We offer CAD files in DWF format, DWG, DXF and PDF formats. Autodesk DWF and Adobe pdf viewers are available for download from both sites. The Autodesk DWF technology combines speed and simplicity with precision and rich data, making for a quick, concise product search and selection experience. DWF allows the architects and designers who use our product directories to search, view and select building products in a much more interactive manner.
BIM Objects
Through our partnership with the RCMS Group, we can help manufacturer’s create BIM models for the Autodesk® platform, and specifically Revit, which allows an architect to use the content in both the conceptual stage and the design process.
