Please elaborate on BIM software limitations
Please elaborate on BIM software limitations.
Aaron Bundy, J&T Systems, Inc
Mark Mergenschroer, BIM Development Coordinator, TME, Inc.: Size of a project can be a limitation. BIM models need a lot of tender love and care, the more care you put into a model the better the model reacts. Sometimes the software just doesn’t produce what we are expecting to see, but this seems to be improved with the 2010 versions. Calculations are a big key for us, and we have been working with some of the manufacturers to help with the calculation process. It all comes down to what your expectation level is. We have high expectations, it’s not where we want to be yet, but it is getting close.
