Answer:
Dennis Neeley, AIA, Product Director, Reed Construction Data: BIM (Building Information Modeling) is one of the accepted names for defining the concept of a 3D model populated with objects and assemblies that have data attached and associated. Revit (Autodesk) is one of the software applications that fall under the BIM umbrella. There are other vendors that create software under this BIM definition.
