Question:

Would like to hear your thoughts on how BIM impacts a prototypical project type where many of the systems and parties involved are familiar with the design and there are not as many “surprises”. I suspect BIM still has a role to play — please address this.
Leah FitzGerald, MW Builders, Inc.

Answer:

Mark Mergenschroer, BIM Development Coordinator, TME, Inc.:You would still have the prototype model. You would just then adapt that model to current conditions. This also depends on what the client is wanting to use the BIM model for.
