Question:

On fast projects, we as the structural engineer end up issuing final structural drawings sometimes one to two months before the architect and other consultant are even at design development. How do you implement BIM on fast track jobs when structural must be issued early?

Answer:

Mark Mergenschroer, BIM Development Coordinator, TME, Inc.:This where, working a team, you have to move more of the decision making process to the front of the project and then stick to those decisions.

We have been apart of a project like this and it went smoother than I ever dreamed it would. We did have some issues but, they were worked out.
