AIA 2009 is all about BIM. There's a very noticeable increase of interest in Building Information Modeling at this year's show. In 2008, the average AIA attendee (to the RCD booth) was unaware or confused about BIM, and they visited us to understand the process...as many companies had an open-mind to the new technology. This year's AIA proved to be a bit different, as many attendees are asking "What products and services do you have for BIM?" More companies know what BIM is, but now need to understand how it can help their company's ROI. I've personally assisted a number of companies that showed an interest in our SmartBIM products and services. This may be due to increased pressure of the economy forcing companies to find new innovative ways to save money, or simply because their competition is now moving into BIM.

Whatever the reason may be, Building Information Modeling is the hot topic and is having a major impact on the construction industry.
