• Louisiana has adopted a minimum plumbing code, SPC 1991, that is enforced statewide. The state has amendments (Louisiana Plumbing Code Amendments, 1992) to the 1991 SPC that are available from the Dept. of Health and Hospitals, (225) 763-5553. Local municipalities may adopt more stringent regulations.
