Notes Concerning New Hampshire Building Codes
New Hampshire's building codes are mandatory minimums for all buildings unless otherwise indicated.
Effective April 1, 2010, the NH State Building Code has been amended with the 2009 I-codes. The requirements for automatic sprinkler systems in one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses will NOT take effect until April 1, 2012 (check local ordinances).
