Airport Construction, Road[s] Construction Services For The C-5 Airfield Pavement Phase 1 Project At Wright-Patterson Air Force Base In Dayton Ohio For The Base's Support Of C-5 Aircraft, The C-5 Aircraft Is Longer And Wider Than The C-17 Aircraft, Which Th Current Apron Is Designed To Support, The Planned Improvements Consist Of Approximately 30,500 Square Yards (13,500 Cubic Yards) Of Concrete Airfield Pavement To Be Installed, An On-Site Batch Plant Will Be Required For The Production Of The Concrete, In Addition To The Concrete Pavement, Asphalt Aprons, Circular And Elliptical Concrete Pipe, And Sub-Surface Drainage Feature Will Need To Be Installed, Demolition Of Approximately 20,000 Square Yards Of Asphalt Pavement And The Removal Of Approximately 500 Cubic Yards Of Concrete Will Be Part Of The Project, The Relocation Of Existing Items Such As Light Poles, Lighting Fixtures, Fire Hydrants, And Emergency Fuel Shut Off Valves Wil Also Be Required, Relocation Of Other Specialized Systems May Also Be Required, Coordination With The On-Site Personnel Will Be Required To Keep Interruptions Of Base Activities To A Minimum
