Premier Construction Products Group (CPG) is a fully owned Division of Premier Magnesia LLC who operates the only active North American Magnesia mine located in Gabbs, NV. The high quality and consistent grade of the mined material coupled with the unique manufacturing process allows for Premier to be the leader in magnesium technology.

Premier Magnesia is well known for magnesium-based technologies for the environment and process industries and is a leader in the manufacture of Epsom salts. The recently formed Construction Products Group is introducing unique magnesium based products to the concrete construction industry. The patent pending shrinkage reducing admixture PREVent-C® is at the forefront of Premier’s entry into the construction industry. This dual-functionality material allows the user to meet and exceed the most stringent concrete shrinkage requirements, minimize or eliminate shrinkage induced cracking and improve the durability of concrete.

Premier’s continued research and development has allowed for the more recent introduction of environmentally benign magnesium based cements. The line of magnesium based cements include single components for magnesium oxychloride cement (PREMagMOC line) and magnesium phosphate cement (PREMagMPC line). CPG has also launched a fully formulated rapid setting cement for use in shotcrete and patching cement applications. These materials provide unique properties that include high early strength, tenacious bonding to substrates and acid resistance. They also allow incorporation of a wide variety of recycled materials while providing a low CO2 footprint making them ideal candidates for LEED applications.

Future developments in construction applications based on magnesium technologies are on the horizon.

PREVent-C® Admixture and PREMagMOC™ Cement Components by CPG

PREVent-C is a unique dual mechanism magnesium based product that significantly reduces shrinkage and shrinkage-related cracks in concrete. The product is extremely user friendly and has a neutral effect on other concrete properties.

PreMagMOC Part A materials when reacted in the appropriate proportions with PREMagMOC– Part B form magnesium oxychloride cement (MOC) when blended with water. MOC cements provide a strong and durable binder system for a wide variety of construction products applications for internal use.

PREMagMPC™ Cement Components and PREMagMPC™ PGDM Cement by CPG

PREMagMPC Part A materials when reacted in the appropriate proportions with PREMagMPC Part B form magnesium phosphate cement (MPC) when blended with water. MPC cements provide fast setting, strong, durable and environmentally friendly binder systems for a wide variety of construction products. For both internal and external applications.

PREMagMPC™ PGDM is fully-formulated, high-performance, quick-set magnesium phosphate cement product. Material is formulated to be used in a wide variety of applications where moderate strength, quick-setting cement is used such as shotcrete, quick-patch mixes and repair mortars.
