Product Description
Hayward Flow Control Systems manufactures a wide range of plastic valves and flow control products to meet the variable needs of HVAC piping.
Product Description, Applications
MANUAL VALVES
Hayward Flow’s manual valves feature rugged construction that can endure the rigors of industrial
applications. They can be easily removed from a piping system without breaking down pipe connections for
ease of maintenance and due to the plastic construction, never have a problem with corrosion. Hayward’s
manual valves are designed so that automated valve conversion is a simple process. Manual valve come in
several variations on these models: union ball valves, three-way ball valves and butterfly valves.
CHECK VALVES
Check valves prevent reversal of flow in piping systems, protecting pumps, filters or process equipment
from potential damage from backflow problems. Automatic operation allows the valves to work without the
need for adjustments or settings. High quality plastic construction prevents corrosion, and the valves
will not contaminate sensitive fluids.
CONTROL VALVES
Control ball valves provide two linear flow curves: one for fast opening and one for slow opening, which
allows accurate control of the downstream flow rate with a 1/4 turn valve. They are ideal for
applications such as methane gas recovery, fill station lines, lateral take-off line flow control, and
flow control from tanks.
Additional types of control valves include:
- Pressure relief valves
- Pressure regulating valves
- Needle valves
- Angle valves
SOLENOID VALVES
Solenoid valves from Hayward Flow Control feature a design that doesn't require pressure differential
for reliable operation, eliminating problems such as sticking. There are no minimum pressure
requirements and the valves will operate with up to 40 PSI of backpressure and up to 120 PSI of inlet
pressure. Another unique feature is the coil design, which rectifies AC current to DC current, resulting
in lower coil temperatures. Accordingly, the coil is rated for 100% continuous duty applicationsand the
valve can be left in the open position indefinitely, or can be cycled continuously with no coil damage.
The coil assembly and electronics are completely encapsulated in a molded polyester housing, providing
excellent corrosion resistance.
Features, Advantages
