IceBrakes are designed to deter the sudden release of damaging and potentially dangerous avalanches of snow and ice from metal roofs. IceBrakes hold the accumulated snow in place, allowing it to melt away gradually.
Two IceBrakes models are available, SG1 and SG2, and they accommodate a wide variety of metal roof pan dimensions. Both models feature a broad base and a low profile that project just over 1" (25.4 mm) from the surface of the roof. IceBrakes cast little shadow and are less conspicuous from a distance than taller style snowguards.

Construction, Materials, Finishes
IceBrakes are made from high quality 319 alloy aluminum, which will not rust or discolor and is compatible with steel roofing materials. A variety of finishes is available, including:

• Bare Mill Finished Aluminum - Most economical finish. Always available for shipment, mill finish IceBrakes blend nicely with white, gray and bare metal roofs
• Powder Coat Colors - Available in dozens of colors to match a variety of roofs
• Custom Colors - Can be matched to the roof sample provided
• Bronze - IceBrakes cast in bare red bronze are compatible with copper roof systems

Warranty
IceBrakes are guaranteed against breakage for the life of the roof.

Installation
IceBrakes are installed directly to the pan of the roof panel without penetrations using a high quality roof adhesive that is compatible with metal roof surfaces, including Kynar. The unique hole pattern on the surface of IceBrakes allows the adhesive to rise and form “rivets” to lock each IceBrake in place. This installation method avoids the maintenance and potential roof damage associated with mechanically fastened snow retention products.
