Added to the concrete mix at the time of batching, Penetron® Admix consists of Portland cement, very fine treated silica sand and various active, proprietary chemicals. These active chemicals react with the moisture in fresh concrete and the by-products of cement hydration to cause a catalytic reaction, which generates an insoluble crystalline formation throughout the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete.

Concrete therefore becomes permanently sealed against the penetration of water or liquids from any direction. The concrete is also protected from deterioration due to harsh environmental conditions. Penetron Admix is recommended for use in:

• Reservoirs
• Sewage and water treatment plants

• Swimming pools
• Precast components

• Dosage rate – 1% of cement by weight
• Shelf life – 12 months in unopened, undamaged bags
• Packing – 40 lb (18 kg) bags, 55 lb (25 kg) pails. Customized packaging is available for large projects
• Conforms to ASTM C39, DIN 1048, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers CRD-C-48-73, NSF 61, BS 6920, Radiation resistance USA standard and ASTM C267
