Product Description
Knauf manufactures several insulation systems designed for use on pipes, tanks, and other plumbing applications and products.
Product Description, Applications
KNAUF 1000° PIPE INSULATION
Knauf 1000° Pipe Insulation is a molded, heavy-density one-piece insulation made from inorganic
glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin. It comes with or without a factory-applied jacket,
which is a white kraft paper bonded to aluminum foil and reinforced with a fiberglass scrim. Knauf
1000° Pipe Insulation is used in power, process and industrial applications, and in commercial
and institutional buildings where maximum fire safety and resistance to physical abuse are desired.
PROTO PVC FITTING COVERS
Proto PVC Fitting Covers consist of one-piece, pre-molded, high-impact PVC with fiber glass inserts
and accessories. Accessories include elbows, tee/valves, end caps, mechanical line couplings,
specialty fittings, jacketing, tacks, and PVC tape.
The system provides PVC jacketing and insulation for straight run piping. It has a high quality appearance, is durable, and can be used in exterior or interior applications.
REDI-KLAD 1000° PIPE INSULATION
Redi-Klad 1000° Pipe Insulation is a multi-purpose, pre-molded, heavy-density, one-piece
insulation made from inorganic glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin. It is designed for
indoor or outdoor installation on mechanical piping systems with operating temperatures ranging from
0°F to 1000°F (-18°C to 538°C). Ideal applications include steam, condensate, process, chilled, and
domestic water piping for new or retro-fit power generation, petro-chemical, pulp and paper,
institutional, and educational construction projects.
KNAUF KWIKFLEX PIPE & TANK
Knauf KwikFlex Pipe & Tank Insulation is used on tanks, vessels, and large-diameter pipes (greater
than 10"), and works well on any curved or irregular surfaces that require finished characteristics
of rigid fiber glass insulation. The insulation is a 48" wide semi-rigid fiber glass blanket in roll
form. The fiber orientation provides excellent compressive strength while maintaining flexibility
for easy installation. It is available faced with a factory-applied ASJ, FSK or PSK vapor retarder
jacket.
KNAUF PIPE & TANK INSULATION
Knauf Pipe & Tank Insulation is a semi-rigid fiber glass board in roll form faced with a factory-
applied FSK or ASJ vapor retarder, or a glass mat facing. The glass fibers are adhered perpendicular
to the jacketing for flexibility and easy installation. The insulation is used on tanks, vessels and
large-diameter pipes, and is ideal for any curved or irregular surfaces that require finished
characteristics of rigid fiber glass insulation.
KNAUF ET INSULATION PRODUCTS
Knauf Elevated Temperature (ET) Insulation products include batt, blanket, board and panel
insulation. These products maintain integrity at elevated temperatures and are ideal for boiler
walls, hot precipitators, hot ductwork, cylindrical tanks, towers, stacks and industrial ovens. The
insulation is made from highly resilient, inorganic glass fibers, bonded by a high-temperature
thermosetting resin.
