Product Description
Zeledyne Versalux® (formerly “Sunglas”) float glass works twofold: enhancing the exterior appearance of a structure, and making the interior more energy efficient and comfortable. Zeledyne’s glass can be fabricated into a variety of products and stuctures, enhancing the appearance of windows, curtain walls, doors, entryways, skylights and interior partitions.
Product Description, Applications
Zeledyne manufactures tinted glass in two shades of blue, two shades of green, two shades of grey, and bronze. Variations on these colors are produced by applying two different reflective coatings to the colored substrates, creating five blues, five greens, three greys, and two bronze products.
The look of the glass can be also be changed by manipulating the orientation of the reflective coated surface in the finished state. Design options include:
- A #1 surface (reflective coating out) application, which increases reflectivity and a mirror-like appearance
- A #2 surface (reflective coating in) application, which reduces reflectivity, allowing the base color to be more prominent
To maximize design flexibility and fulfill varying performance requirements, Zeledyne offers Versalux in several series.
VERSALUX
Available in blue, green, grey and bronze, Versalux offers a pleasing appearance, reduces glare, solar heat gain, UV and visible light transmission compared to uncoated clear glass.
VERSALUX R
A pyrolytic reflective coating is applied to the Versalux tints to enhance solar performance. Pyrolytic coatings can be fabricated and post-heat treated without damaging the reflective surface. Orientation of the reflective surface in the finished state provides additional design options.
VERSALUX 2000
Available in blue, green and grey, Versalux 2000 provides deeper colors and enhanced solar performance compared to Versalux.
VERSLAUX 2000R
A pyrolytic reflective coating is applied to Versalux Blue 2000 and Green 2000 to further enhance solar performance.
VERSALUX 2000T
A titanium-based pyrolytic coating is applied to Versalux Blue 2000 and Green 2000 providing excellent thermal properties while offering an expanded color palette to design professionals.
