Construction Management Software (CMS), a provider of construction estimating and takeoff technology, will showcase the newest release of its on-screen ProEst Takeoff Software. Major enhancements to ProEst Takeoff version 12 have been designed to increase efficiencies during each step of a contractor’s takeoff process.
A significant enhancement to ProEst Takeoff version 12 is the new MagniPoint™ function, which allows users to easily magnify and pick a point for measurement without zooming in or out of a blueprint. This exclusive time-saving feature expedites the takeoff process by reducing the number of steps needed to select measurements for a takeoff.
ProEst Takeoff now supports the use of multi-page blueprints in PDF format. This allows the user to quickly select a single page from an entire file, which eliminates the need to separate a PDF ahead of time in order to identify the specific blueprint sheet needed for a takeoff.
Another time-saving feature in version 12 is the ability to view two plans at one time. This enables the user to view job specifications on one set of plans while performing a takeoff on a second set in a new window. By toggling between screens using simple mouse clicks, the user can quickly reference specifications while keeping the takeoff visible at all times.
Other key enhancements to ProEst Takeoff version 12 include:
