Missing line items

Posted by Clyde Jackson

Last week I prepared an estimate. The client has reduced the scope. In attempting to prepare a new reduced estimate line item 260505101790 is no longer available. I cannot demo Receptacle & switches???? This isn't the first time I have seen this kind of problem. In the past when I logged back on it worked. Not this time.

Can you double-check that you are using the same data file that was used to create the original estimate?

Using the same data file! I found the line item by searching but could not find it by browsing.

Clyde, here’s another scenario that may have happened, from one of our Software Support Specialists: User clicked on division 26, then subsection 2605, then 260505, then 26050510. After clicking on the last subsection, that section of the data was then displayed on the right-hand pane, as usual. The user then probably scrolled to the bottom of the data pane, and saw the last line was 260505100850. So of course the user assumed that they had looked through the section and was unable to find the line item. What user might not have seen, was that the data pane was only showing lines 1-50 of 164 results. If the user had gone to the 3rd page of results, they would have found line 260505101790 at the top of the page. Hopefully that info helps for future searches!
