Question about concrete cost

Posted by Jeff Malone

I've been reading through Division 03300 and don't see any cost for stripping form work. Does anyone know if this cost is covered in the "forming" or "placing" sections?

Any book with concrete forming items in Unit Costs sections has a Reference Number flag for R031113-60 “Formwork Labor-Hours”. These same Unit Cost items in Costworks CD or On-line have a link to this same RefNo.

This RefNo R031113-60 lists the concrete forming tasks: Fabricate, Erect & Strip, and Clean & Move. So, yes, the Daily Output and Labor-Hours values include time to not only build and erect forms, but also to strip, clean and move them.
