Will Reed deliver on Tectonic’s many promises?

Posted by doubtful observer

Now that the "guise" of Tectonic are part of Reed, will they finally deliver on the promises they've been making for the past many years? It all seems to make sense, but I've heard the promises so many times from them, I wonder if it's just going to be the same story coming from the same people with different business cards??? Also, wasn't Arol the head of Reed at one point, then left to form Tectonic and a few other companies? It all seems kinda like dejavu...

The agreement is final and public. We are clearly committed to producing results. There is certainly a lot of activity going on around here at Reed Construction Data in preparation to deliver valuable, comprehensive solutions to the A/E/C community.

What do you hope to see from Reed Construction Data?

I have been a Reed employee for a long time and can understand the question posted by doubtful observer - but I have to say that there has definitely been a change since Iain Melville took over as CEO.

The completion of the Tectonic acquistion is just one of many exciting changes. This was quickly followed by the announcement of Reed Construction Data as the AIA Inaugral Strategic Partner. This is an amazing achievement.

Another change is the investment that has been made in data acquistion. There has been a 40% increase in data reporting resources.

Based on these positive changes, I would say that delivery on the BIM promises are a foregone conclusion - with even more to follow.
