Will the rising cost of energy accelerate the adoption of BIM?

As energy costs sky rocket, it would seem logical that fully understanding the Total Cost of Owernship (TCO) and sustainability information for a building will become increasingly more crucial at the design stage. BIM is intended to help architects, contractors, and owners recognize these benefits. How is the community currently approaching this challenge and what are your plans to leverage BIM to help accomplish this?
