Working with project search results

Once you perform a project search, the Project Search Results window is displayed showing the projects that match your search criteria. The top of the menu contains several options for working with your search results:

Filtering your search results

You can refine your project search results by using the Refine Search Results menu located at the top of the menu.

  • To open the menu, click on any of the project type headings:

Note: The number of projects for each type is shown next to the type name.

  • To filter your search results, click on a project type in the list. The project list refreshes to show the projects that match your selection.

Using view and new project search options

The menu lets you select the number of projects shown in the results, see the total number of projects returned in a search, and start a new project or company and contact search, as described in the following table.

If you want to... Then...
change the number of projects per page select the number of projects you want to see from the list:

see the total number of projects in your results locate the project counts shown to the right of the page:

start a new project or company/contact search click one of the following:
  • Project Search to start a new project search.

  • Company & Contact to start a new company and contact search.

Previewing projects

You can preview any of the projects in your project search results, either individually or in selected groups.

 

To preview a project or projects,

From the list of project in the Project Search Results window,
  • click the checkbox next to the project or projects you want to preview or

  • click the Selection checkbox at the top of the list to select all the projects on the page.
2 Click Preview.

Result: The page refreshes showing the details of the selected project or projects.

Tip: You print the project details when you are previewing a project.


Tracking projects

You can track any of the projects in your project search results for follow-up at a later date. Tracked projects are listed on your My Tracked Projects tab.

Note: You can also track projects from the project preview page.

To track projects,

From the Project Search Results window, click either
  • click the checkbox next to the project or projects you want to track or

  • click the Selection checkbox at the top of the list to select all the projects on the page.
2 Click Track.

Result: The page refreshes and Tracked is displayed next to the tracked projects.

Using the project list header

The project list header displays the categories in the search results. You can click on any of the column headers to resort by that column:

Note: The default setting sorts projects by Stage.

The following table describes the categories in the project results list. Projects in Planning automatically sort in the following order:

  • Working Drawings
  • Design Development
  • Schematics
  • Conceptual Drawings
  • Master Planning
  • Architect Selection Underway
  • Architect Selection to Begin
  • Role Proposal Due
  • Project Abandoned
  • Proposed Pending

The following table describes the fields in the project header menu.

Field
Description
Selection Click to select a project or projects. Click at the top of the list to select all projects displayed on the page.
Project Title/Category
The name and category for the project.
Subcategory
The subcategory for the project.
City
The city, state and/or province where the project is located.
State/ Prov
Stage
The current stage of the project.
Sub-Stage The current sub-stage of the project. The projects found in a search sort by this value in the following order:
  • Subbids ASAP

  • Subbid Date Set - (Based on the project Bid Date value. The bid dates closest to the current date display first)

  • Biddate Set - (Based on the project Bid Date value. The bid dates closest to the current date display first)

  • Bids: Postponed Indefinitely

  • Project Cancelled
$Value The dollar value of the project.
Bid Date The date the project goes to bid. This sorts in descending order, with the dates closest to the current date displaying first.
Plans & Specs An icon is displayed when plans and specifications are included with the project listing.
