Today’s grim August jobs report provided more evidenced that the overall economy continues to weaken but that the long decline in construction may be ending soon. 84,000 jobs were lost in August but only 8,000 were in construction. The July job count was cut was cut 58,000, including a 1,000 job upward revision for construction.
