Education construction spending is likely now at or near the peak for this building cycle. But relatively little decline is expected compared to the deep drops anticipated for other nonresidential sectors. Education construction spending has continued to expand slowly through March while growth in other institutional construction has stalled early in 2009 and spending for commercial construction has dropped 14% from the peak level last June.
