Reed Connect Launches “Green” Search Option
| Seed Newsvine |
Reed Connect, a Web-based project lead service for the construction industry, has integrated several new features with the release of Connect 3.5.3, featuring a “green” search option, allowing users to sort projects with U.S. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification intent.
LEED certification is awarded through the Green Building Certification Institute and provides independent, third-party verification that a building project is environmentally responsible, profitable and a healthy place to live and work. LEED is designed to promote sustainability through five key practice areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality*.
“Green building is arguably the most pervasive construction practice today,” said Craig Roberts, Director of Product Management, Reed Construction Data. “With Reed Connect, LEED-registered project leads can be easily found, managed, and also integrated into your SFA or CRM system.”
The launch of Connect 3.5.3 also introduces features including a project search tips icon, which brings up a page of helpful hints to assist users with building queries, and extended 75 day access to plans and specs online, an upgrade from the previous window of 45 days.
In addition, DataLink, a service that provides seamless integration of Reed Connect’s data and objects with the SFA or CRM system customers already use, now provides users with the ability to flag all “Search Projects” results for export, as opposed to selecting all of the projects “per page” only. This feature increases the usability of DataLink with Connect and will allow for more efficient export selections.
