Construction Starts Drop in July

Abstract:

Reed Construction Data (RCD) announced today that the year-to-date value of construction starts through July 2008, excluding residential contracts, totaled $163.3 billion, a 6.3% drop versus the same period last year. The individual month of July was 15.0% lower than June, reports Reed Construction Data chief economist Jim Haughey.
