Abstract:
Jim Haughey, chief economist for Reed Construction Data says that homebuilders and their suppliers are still waiting for a clear signal that residential construction has hit bottom. The approximate stabilization of job site activity earlier in the year looked like it might be that signal. But that has now been trumped by a new round of solvency concerns in the mortgage market.
