Three Major Stories for Canada's Construction Industry in 2009 — an Economist's Perspective

In an interview format, RCD Canada’s Chief Economist, Alex Carrick, sets out what he thinks will be the nation’s top three construction stories in 2008. He approaches them in reverse order. Number three is the stage of the cycle for private versus public construction, meaning mainly residential, commercial and industrial work. Number two is the surge of infrastructure spending that is upcoming. And number one may turn out to be a surprise to many readers.
