The SmartBIM Library™ storage and organization tool delivers new streamlined features and thousands of pre-loaded BIM objects
Reed Construction Data (www.reedconstructiondata.com), a leading provider of BIM solutions and construction information, has announced the launch of SmartBIM Library 3.0 (www.reedconstructiondata.com/building-information-modeling/bim-library), the next release of its BIM content management software on Monday, Sept. 15.
SmartBIM Library is an add on to the market-leading building design software, Autodesk® Revit®, and enables users to store, organize and locate BIM objects, streamline design workflow and share libraries of BIM objects.
With version 3.0, users will experience more powerful and efficient navigation, object management and search functionality. New features provide the ability to open multiple libraries and merge content between libraries. Custom object tags allow users to identify objects according to their preferences and upgraded search tools quickly sort content by family, type, properties or object tag.

Version 3.0 is pre-loaded with over 14,000 high-quality Revit family types, which meet the highest quality standards in the industry. Automatic content updates deliver new Revit families directly to the users’ desktops as soon as they are available and automatic software updates ensure users have the most up-to-date software features. Revit customers who already have a collection of BIM objects can utilize the Family Content Publisher plug-in, which generates libraries for existing Revit objects. As with previous versions, productivity is maximized by dragging objects from the SmartBIM Library Manager directly into Revit.
