Establishes program to partner with local planrooms and construction associations
Reed Construction Data (www.reedconstructiondata.com)announces the formation of the Reed Planroom Network, a new program designed to share value with planrooms and construction associations who wish to distribute their project news, plans, and specifications information to Reed.
Interested planrooms can send project information in electronic format to Reed, who pays the exchange for information and then offers the project information to their customers. In addition, participating planrooms can offer Reed products, including RS Means books and online project cost services, to their members at a discount.
“We see this as an excellent way for us to help planrooms build their non-dues revenue by doing what they do best – working with their local communities to gather and share valuable information,” said Jane Rafeedie, Vice President of Data Acquisition, Reed Construction Data.
Since January 2008, The Reed Planroom Network concept has been piloted in seven planrooms across California and Nevada and has resulted in off-setting the costs associated with posting digital projects.
“The Reed Planroom Network is a simple and easy program that offers all parties significant benefits,” said Denice McDavid, Executive Director of the Contra Costa Builders Exchange (www.ccbx.com), one of the pilot sites for the program.
