RSMeans (www.rsmeans.com), North America’s leading supplier of construction cost information and a division of Reed Construction Data, has begun releasing its popular reference books in electronic format, allowing customers to instantly download the electronic books (e-books) to Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader, as well as the iPhone and iPod Touch through the Kindle for iPhone application.
The first RSMeans e-books include “Construction Business Management” by Nick B. Ganaway and “The Homeowner’s Guide to Mold” by Michael Pugliese, CMR, CMT, available at www.amazon.com.
These publications join more than 275,000 books available through the Kindle Store, along with thousands of U.S. and international newspapers, magazines and blogs.
“By embracing this technology, we’re opening the doors to allow the market to choose which medium is best for them,” said Rich Remington, Vice President of Product Development, Reed Construction Data. “With the release of e-books from RSMeans, customers have the option to download and view content anywhere, anytime.”
RSMeans plans to expand the number of titles available on the Kindle platform this year, including “Green Home Improvement,” “How Your House Works” and the “Means Heavy Construction Handbook.”
