College, University - Miscellaneous Dining, Food Preparation, Kitchen, Meeting Room Concrete Slab On Grade Foundation, Structural Steel Frame, Wood Structural Frame, Masonry Exterior , Stucco Exterior, Steel Joist Roof Structure, Metal Roof Deck, Corrugated Metal Roofing DESIGN/BUILD CONTRACT FOR ADDITION & RENOVATION OF STUDENT CENTER Meeting And Conference Area (Including Two Large Multi-Purpose Rooms Of Approximately 6,000 And 9,000 Gross Square Feet); Food Service Area (Approximately 23,900 GSF New/9,900 GSF Renovated) To Accommodate Food Preparation Areas, Kitchen & Servery Space, Dining Facilities, Support Facilities; Retail Area (Approximately 6,000 GSF New/4,000 GSF Renovated), Student Activity/Administrative Office Area (Approximately 75,000 GSF New/19,00 GSF Renovated) Site Work, Removal Of Other Miscellaneous Structures, General Site Clearing & Substantial Cut & Fill Earthwork, On-Grade Plaza Area With Hard & Softscape To Remaining Site Areas New Building Additions Totaling Approximately 168,000 Gross Square Feet, Addition To Cross Cultural Center Of Approximately 5,000 Gross Square Feet, Major Renovation To Portions Of The Main Complex Totaling Approximately 25,500 Gross Square Feet, Demolition, Allowances For Minor Renovation To Existing Area Totaling Approximately 35,000 Gross Square Feet, Extensive Site Work, The Structural System For The New 4-Story Main Building Addition Will Be Structural Steel Frame With Metal Decks And Lightweight Concrete Topping. Sprayed Fireproofing To All Steelwork Will Be Required For The New Type II FR Addition. Also Included Are Reinforced Concrete Retaining Walls, Reinforced Concrete Slab On Grade, Mechanical Equipment Pads, Seismic Joints And Miscellaneous Metals An Support Framing. Exterior Cladding For This Portion Of The Building Will Be Of Masonry Brick Units With Metal Stud Support Framing. Other Exterior Finishes Include Pre-Cast Concrete Base And Trim, Aluminum Panels, Aluminum Framed Insulated Glazing, Louver Panels, Glazed Entry Doors And A Continuous Metal Roo Fascia Element. The Cross Cultural Center Addition Is A Type V-NR Wood Framed, Shear Wall Structure Utilizing Truss Joist Floor And Roof Framing Supported By Steel Beams And Pipe Columns. The Addition's Exterior Finish Is Consistent With The Existing Building's Exterior Plaster Finish. Vertical Transportation Includes Steps And Short Stair Flights, Metal Pan Stairs With Painted Metal Railings And 4 Hydraulic Passenger Elevators.
