Transportation Terminal The Port Of Seattle Proposes To Relocate The Passenger Terminal For Cruise Vessels From Terminal 30 To Terminal 91. The New Passenger Cruise Terminal Will Be Used During Cruise Season And For Other Uses In Support Of The Ongoing Cargo Terminal Activity On Terminal 91 Throughout The Remainder Of The Year. The Project Includes Demolition Of 4 Structures, The Construction Of 12 Structures, And Utilization Of Existing Open Areas Throughout The Terminal For Accessory Parking Of About 1300 Vehicles, Staging Areas And Traffic/Queuing Lanes. Buildings Proposed To Be Constructed Include A Cruise Terminal Building On Pier 91 (P91), Of About 143,000 Sq Ft, To Be Used For Cruise Operations On A Seasona Basis. Also Proposed For Construction Are Three Walkway Canopies And 5 Pedestrian Canopies, As Well As Three Electrical Substations. Most Of The Proposed Parking Spaces Will Be Located Within A Long Term Parking Area, Proposed To Be Located North Of The Magnolia Bridge. Proposed Demolitions Include Two Existing Trailers And Two Substations. Project to be completed in March 2009. Approx. construction cost $40 million.
