Project Description
Park[s], Landscaping Work for this project consists of furnishing labor and equipment for the reconstruction of the Island Lake Campground - Loops “A” and “B” and the Boat Launch Area with parking. Items of work included (but not limited to) are: Mobilization; Construction signing and barricades; Construction staking and quality control; Temporary erosion and sediment control; Clearing and grubbing; Demolition of existing toilets, water system components, campsite furnishings, signs, gates, culverts and barriers; Placing and constructing aggregate roads and spurs including excavation and embankment; Improving the boat launch parking area with aggregate surfacing and drainage; Constructing campsite units with crusher fine surfacing including new site furnishings, timber stairs, rock retaining walls and number posts; Trails with crusher fine surfacing; Replacing/adding culverts and drainage ditches; Fee station with relocated fee tube; Host unit with a sewage holding tank; Relocating and installing barrier rocks, Sign installation; Scarification and topsoil and Concrete dumpster pads and Coordinate government supplied materials, deliveries and contractor hauling of including: tables, bear box lockers, sign panels, barrier rocks and retaining wall rock. The Island Lake Campground project is located approximately 75 miles northwest of the City of Cody, Wyoming on the US Highway 212 or Beartooth Scenic Byway, Clarks Fork Ranger District of the Shoshone National Forest.
