Project Description
Power Lines,Water Piping,Electrical Work,Excavating & Grading,Fencing,Power Stations Provide all work to repair and replace the existing pond liner and screening system for the Power Plant Cooling Pond at Clear AFS, Alaska. Work includes, but is not limited to de-watering and cleaning of the pond; partial demolition and reconstruction of existing concrete intake structure and screens; removal of ballast and repair of gunite substrate, installation of new pond liner membrane; removal of existing pump, gate valve, piping, cooling tower foundation, electrical service, and fencing; construction of new cooling water piping; grading, seeding, and all incidental work for a complete and operational system. Additionally, repair or replacement of damaged or displaced existing gunite is required prior to installation of new liner. Approximately 500 SF of gunite surface requires repair or replacement. There is no known asbestos or asbestos containing material (ACM) present at the project site. The existing pump house structure, associated piping, pump and motor are assumed to contain lead based paint. Appropriate handling and disposal will be required to protect workers and the environment.
