Project Description
Canals Enclosing The Existing Provo Reservoir Canal (Also Known As The Murdock Canal) Located South Of Salt Lake City In Utah County With Either A Large Diameter Pressure Pipe Or A Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert. The Owner Plans On Bidding Both The Pipe & Box Culvert Options. For The Pipe Option, The Work Includes Construction Of Approximately 20 Miles Of 126-Inch To 120-Inch and 114-Inch Steel Or Reinforced Concrete Pressure Pipe, Connections To Existing Facilities, Air Valve & Blow Off Structures, Equipment Accesses & Associated Appurtenances. For The Box Culvert Option, The Work Includes The Construction Of Approximately 18 Miles Of 12-Foot Wide By 10-Foot High Cast-In-Place Box Culvert, 2,500 Feet Of 132-Inch Steel Pressure Pipe, 14-Radial Gate Type Check Structures, Equipment Accesses, Air Vents & Associated Appurtenance. Both Options Include Modifications To The Existing Murdock Diversion Structure, The Crossing Of Approximately 34 Existing Streets, Utility Relocations, SCADA & Fiber Optic System, The Construction Of Approximately 40 Turnout Structures & Associated Piping & Connections. The Work Is Located In Utah County & The Cities Of Orem, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Highland & Lehi, Utah.
