Project Description
proposed construction of an environmentally friendly facilities for the Public Works East Yard and for Winnipeg Fleet Management Agency (WFMA). The East Yard Facility is to include the following: 95,000 square foot main office and garage building that will include a 23,000 square foot area for administration/office; a 51,000 square foot heated garage and shop area; and a 21,000 square foot unheated garage/storage area; as well as a 916,000 square foot yard and exterior storage area. The WFMA Facility is to include the following: 60,000 square foot main office and central vehicle repair shop/manufacturing facility that will include a 15,000 square foot area for office; 43,000 square foot area for a heated shop/office as well as a 2,000 square foot area for an unheated storage garage; as well as a 144,000 square foot yard and exterior storage area. This project will meet LEED Silver Certification.
