In addition to the base bid items, the contract includes a total of 11 options. The base bid includes 300,000 cy of sand placed at Dewey Beach between Stations 133+00 and 169+00(approx.). Options 1,2,3 and 4 (50,000 cy each) are for additional sand at Dewey Beach. Option 5 (100,000 cy) and Options 6,7 and 8 (50,000 cy each) are for sand placed at Rehoboth Beach between Stations 26+00 and 58+00 (approx.). Option 9 (100,000 cy) and Options 10 and 11 (50,000 cy each) are for sand placed at Bethany and South Bethany Beach. The contract also includes two bid schedules. Bid Schedule A requires the use of the Fenwick Island Borrow area for Dewey and Rehoboth Beaches. Bid Schedule A requires the use of Area G Borrow area for Dewey and Rehoboth Beaches. Both bid schedules require the use of Area E borrow area for Bethany and South Bethany Beaches. |
