An Overview description of the Project for which these services are to be provided is as follows: 1) Provision of utility services, which include potable water, gas, sewer, telephone and data cabling. 2) Installation of fire department connections. 3) Construction of the Field House facility including the following major facility operations: Three (3) court Gymnasium with mezzanine level spectator seating, running track, locker room/change areas, building operational services, partial site development, and redevelopment of the existing Bill Hunter Arena parking lot. 4) Renovation to existing areas of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic High School, as indicated on the plans, and that are affected by the Addition of the Field House Facility. 5) Implement, coordinate and track the various activities necessary for the project to follow the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) principles to achieve LEED registered accreditation status. 6) Full construction services at the project site, which generally includes but is not limited to the following: i. Provide security/safety fencing around the entire construction site for the duration of the project to ensure against vandalism and theft, and also to ensure the safety of school children at all times. ii. Final site grading; ii. Mechanical and electrical services; connection to underground utility services; iii Facility electrical services including connections to facility service transformers; iv. New Field House facility; v. Vertical access elements including stairs, ramps and elevator; vi. Communication and security systems and related devices; vii. Signage; viii. Architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems to complete a fully functional and operating facility fit for occupancy. 7 Site development, including but not limited to the following major components parking, landscaping, sidewalks, surface and underground site drainage systems, site lighting and the redevelopment of the existing Bill Hunter Arena parking lot. |
