A metal door is made of aluminum, stainless steel or bronze and is used as a moveable member to close the opening in a wall.
A metal frame is made from either formed or extruded aluminum, stainless steel or bronze. It is the surrounding assembly into which a door fits and can include framing for sidelites, transoms or other openings. Door frames consist of two uprights, jambs and a header.
