Commercial kitchen hoods are designed to contain fumes, vapors and particulate matter generated in a commercial kitchen.

A casing is mounted above a cooking device, or clean area, and is ducted outside. A fan is mounted either in the casing or attached to the ductwork. When operating, the fan creates a draft which pulls the smoke and odors into the unit from which it is then exhausted out of the kitchen.

Kitchen hoods may be supported, hung in space or attached to a wall. They may be furnished with a grease filter or extractor, fire extinguishing...
