Folding doors and grilles are movable barriers which permit or prohibit passage between interior spaces. They are composed of individual leaves or panels which are hinged together in pairs. They slide along a single guide at the top, and frequently bottom.
Finishes include metal, wood, vinyl, fabric, carpet and plastic laminates. Folding doors are limited to stock sizes of ten feet (3m) or less.
These doors are generally not rated for fire resistance or sound transmission.
Typical applications include closets and laundry spaces.
