Preaction Sprinkler Systems are fire suppression systems consisting of a water source, control valves, system drains, waterflow alarms, piping and sprinkler heads. A preaction system uses electronic heat or smoke detectors to operate a valve which allows water into the system piping.

A typical application would be in freezer warehouses.
