Aluminum conductors carry twice the current per pound as equivalent copper conductors which means STABILOY aluminum alloy delivers a distinct performance advantage.

Insulation: STABILOY aluminum alloy conductors feature a superior insulation that performs better in cold impact, wet electrical and long-term aging tests compared to THHN insulation on copper conductors.

Termination: STABILOY aluminum alloy construction terminates safely with industry standard dual-rated aluminum lugs.

Type SE, Style R three-conductor insulated service entrance cable is designed for above-ground service entrance use, as well as interior wiring. This cable uses XHHW-2 conductors that are phase identified, including one insulated black conductor, one insulated white conductor, and one insulated conductor with a single longitudinal red stripe. If provided, a fourth insulated conductor has a single longitudinal blue stripe. A bare ground conductor is provided in every configuration.

Mobile Home Feeder cable uses quadruplexed type USE-2/RHH/RHW-2 STABILOY conductors, including one grounded (neutral) conductor with a continuous white longitudinal stripe and an equipment grounding conductor with a total green surface coating.

FeederPlex HS® XHHW-2 aluminum alloy cable significantly reduces installation time before, during and after the pull. Consisting of a factory-produced, plexed assembly of STABILOY XHHW-2 conductors that are color coded for phase identification, FeederPlex HS has a specially designed XLPE insulation that allows for fast and easy cable pulls without the use of pulling lubricants.

The all-in-one conductor assembly offers the electrical contractor an innovative solution to reduce labor, waste and material costs. STABILOY FeederPlex HS XHHW-2 conductors are intended for general purpose wiring in residential, commercial and industrial construction.

Type XHHW-2 feeder cable is designed for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This cable is also available with XHHW-2 conductors that are phase identified, with three wide color-coded stripes for identification. In addition, it is used in cable trays (with “CT USE” marking) and messenger supported wiring applications.

Type MC Cable with Jacket is designed for both above-ground and underground applications. This cable includes a PVC jacket and is listed for direct burial, for application in cable trays, and for wet locations and sunlight resistance.

MC Cable consists of either three or four insulated phase-identified conductors plus a bare equipment grounding conductor inside interlocked aluminum alloy armor. The entire assembly is covered with a PVC jacket for added durability and protection.

The unique construction of STABILOY MC Cable provides significant savings in installation time and cost.

WIDESTRIPE HS® XHHW-2 cable is a single, phase identified, aluminum alloy cable that features a specially designed cross-linked polyethylene insulation that allows for fast and easy cable pulls by eliminating the application and clean up of pulling lubricants.

As part of the new, high speed family of STABILOY aluminum alloy conductors, WIDESTRIPE HS XHHW-2 cable reduces labor, waste and material costs in wire and pipe installations. STABILOY WIDESTRIPE HS XHHW-2 conductors are intended for general purpose wiring in residential, commercial and industrial construction.

    Features:
  • Lightweight, flexible—with twice the ampacity per pound as copper
  • Phase identification on the XHHW-2 conductor consists of three wide color stripes embedded within the surface of the insulation.

NUAL®

Type AC90 Alcan Cable’s NUAL TECK90 2-Conductor Cable is designed for both rooftop applications and direct burial (from the combiner box to the inverter) in solar applications. Alcan Cable’s TECK90 is a flexible, interlocked aluminum armor cable that eliminates the need to run conductors in conduit. It includes an inner PVC jacket over the 90 degrees C rated, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated NUAL ACM conductors, and an outer PVC jacket over the armor. NUAL TECK90 cable has a proven track record of reliable performance in mining, pulp and paper, petrochemical and other industrial applications. The rugged and durable design can handle the demanding environmental conditions and installation challenges often associated with solar projects.

  • Available in 1000 volt rating in sizes 6 AWG to 750 kcmil (13.3 to 380 mm2 )

Type ACWU90 2-conductor cable consists of two 90 degrees C wet-rated, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated NUAL ACM conductors and one bare bonding conductor with an interlocked aluminum armor and PVC jacket.

The FT4-rated PVC jacket makes this cable perfect for direct burial applications, corrosive environments, and non-combustible buildings. The factory-assembled conductor eliminates the need for conduit fittings and other labor-intensive operations, reducing many of the problems, as well as labor costs traditionally associated with conduit wiring.
