Hycrete admixtures are offered in a variety of formulations for use in flooring, corrosion inhibition and waterproofing applications. Hycrete's additive is based on a water-soluble molecule that transforms when mixed into concrete, becoming a water-repellent polymer for membrane-free waterproof construction. One end of the molecule reacts with calcium in the mix to form hydrocarbon chains that fill capillaries, while the other bonds to steel, protecting rebar. The admixtures reduce the absorption of water and dissolved salts in concrete, thereby making the concrete waterproof and forming a protective layer over reinforcing steel.
Compatible with standard admixture metering equipment, Hycrete admixtures have no effect on concrete set time, slump or workability, and are easy and safe to use with no additional labor required.
HYCRETE SYSTEM V Hycrete System V offers a comprehensive approach to protecting flooring and interiors of buildings against vapor and moisture-damage. It is ideal for below-, on- and above-grade slabs where flooring is being installed, as well as for suspended slabs where there is concern of concrete re-wetting after placement. The system consists of Hycrete W1000 admixture, a Hycrete-approved vapor barrier system if used for below- and on-grade slabs, world class technical field service for installation, and a best-in-class IntegraTek 10-year performance Vapor Warranty. With Hycrete System V, flooring can be installed 28 days after concrete placement, reducing delays and allowing floors to be installed sooner, resulting in reduced construction time and related cost savings.
HYCRETE X1000 Hycrete X1000 is a surfactant-based dual-action corrosion inhibitor that reduces the permeability of concrete up to seven times better than control concrete when tested to BSI 1881-122. It forms a protective layer on the surface of rebar so that less water and dissolved salts can penetrate to attack embedded structural steel. Mixed into concrete at the batch plant, Hycrete X1000 provides an effective and robust barrier against water and chloride ingress, making it well-suited for applications including bridges and highway infrastructure; dams, reservoirs and water and wastewater systems; ports and marine structures; pilings; tunnels; airport runways; rail and metro systems; power and telecom infrastructure; and parking structures.
Hycrete X1000 increases structural durability by increasing the electrical resistivity, durability and sustainability of concrete. It minimizes water and chloride damage, enhances healing of cracks up to 0.4 mm, and does not degrade, wash out or lose performance over time. It is easily dosed into the concrete mix via a standard liquid metering system, without dangerous silica dust, breakable bags or ammonia.
MORTAR AND STUCCO
HYCRETE M1000 Hycrete M1000 is a waterproofing additive with a water-based formulation for integral moisture protection. It works by closing the capillary network in cementitious products such as CMU block, grout, mortar and stucco to dramatically reduce absorption and keep products dry and water away from underlying structures. M1000 provides stain resistance, efflorescence, freeze-thaw protection, enhanced durability, moisture reduction and protection against mortar/grout degradation without affecting adhesion or set characteristics.
Available in both liquid and dry formulations as needed to meet specific project applications, M1000 is compatible with standard admixture metering equipment and is easy to use by simply adding the correct dosage to the wet mix.,
HYCRETE SYSTEM W Hycrete System W offers high-performance, membrane-free waterproof construction, not simply waterproof concrete. This premium system transforms ordinary porous concrete into hydrophobic concrete, and is recommended for applications include parking garages, podiums, deck plazas, commercial sub-grade walls and slabs, retaining walls, water tanks, water treatment facilities and tunnels.
System W consists of Hycrete W1000 admixture, world-class field service and a 10-year IntegraTek Warranty. In the unlikely event that a crack forms and subsequently leaks, Hycrete will repair the leak according to the terms of the IntegraTek performance warranty. Typically, repairs are performed by drilling and injecting polyurethane foam that expands in the presence of water and permanently seals cracks. Joints and penetrations are waterproofed using bentonite waterstops that swell when in contact with water. Waterstop details may be included and provided to the contractor for installation.

HYCRETE W1000 Hycrete W1000 is a superior, dual-action admixture that reduces the permeability of concrete to 1% or lower. Because less water and fewer chlorides are able to penetrate the concrete, it increases the concrete’s durability, lengthening the life of the structure and forming a protective layer on the surface of rebar to protect against corrosion.

HYCRETE W500 Hycrete W500 is a basic waterproofing system often used as a superior substitute for integral crystalline waterproofing. It significantly reduces water ingress through concrete and forms a corrosion-inhibiting protective surface coating around steel reinforcement. When tested to BSI 1881-122, W500 was proven to have 50% less absorption than the control.
Because W500 resists hydrostatic pressure, applications can include above and below grade construction, aquatic centers, architectural water features, bridges, dams, extra protection for walls and slabs, fountains, highway infrastructure, marinas, pre-cast components, secondary containment structures, sewage and water treatment plants, swimming pools, tilt-up panel walls, underground vaults, water containment reservoirs and zoos.
