Product Description, Applications
Weathercap® is a proprietary, patented lead capping system, used in conjunction with caulking compound or sealant to create a permanent elastic waterproofing masonry joint.
Especially effective for leakage and moisture penetration caused by building movement or settlement, Weathercap® covers the caulked or sealed stone joints, reducing the size of the joint opening, maximizing joint waterproofing and helping to assure a permanent elastic seal for any masonry joint.
Suited for historical building restoration, as well as new stone or masonry construction and waterproofing projects, Weathercap® is available in Type A and Type B:
- Type A Flat Cap - For joints between units set in the same plane, such as top, side and cross joints of copings and balustrades; cross joints on cornices and belt courses; cross top joints on windows; door lintels; entrance porticos
- Type B 90° Cove Cap - For use in joints between units set approximately at right angles to each other; reglets; belt courses; lintels; window sills
