Product Description, Applications
Halfen’s anchors for glazing provide unmatched strength and design flexibility for the anchoring of curtain walls, punched windows and ribbon windows. They allow easier installation, providing tolerances to accommodate onsite adjustment, without the labor costs associated with drilling or welding.
Cast-in Halfen Anchor Channels, normally in 12" (305 mm) lengths, are used to anchor curtain wall mullions to either the top or edge of thin floor slabs or concrete spandrel beams.
Punched windows or ribbon windows can be anchored to architectural precast panels with 1 3/4" or 6" (44 or 152 mm) long Halfen Anchor Channels. They can be used in concrete as thin as 4" (102 mm), providing outstanding pull-out and shear load capacities.
The system is complemented by a full range of hardware to connect glazing brackets to cast-in Halfen Anchor Channels — tee-bolts, channel nuts, special washers and flange nuts. Halfen offers design assistance to determine suitability of standard product, or to develop custom embeds for almost any window anchor condition.
CURTAIN WALL BRACKETS
Halfen’s multi-adjustable brackets for curtain wall provide up/down and in/out adjustability. When used along with a Halfen anchor channel, 3-way adjustability simplifies the erection of stick or unitized curtain wall. Edge-of-slab brackets, manufactured from extruded aluminum, are available in 3 sizes for dead load or wind load applications. New top-of-slab brackets include a steel body with machined serrations, slots for in/out adjustment, 2 clips with up/down adjustment and an anti-lift device. Top-of-slab bracket works with both stick and unitized curtain wall systems.

Construction, Materials, Finishes
Halfen Anchor Channels are manufactured from carbon steel exceeding ASTM A570 Grade 33 or ASTM A283 Grade D, with hot dip galvanized finish as standard. Most items are also available in Type 304 or 316 stainless steel.
A wide variety of tee-bolts is offered in low carbon and high tensile steel, with diameters from 3/8" (9.5 mm) M10 - 1 1/4" (32 mm) M30, in electroplated or hot dip galvanized finish. Stainless steel tee-bolts and other hardware are also available.
