Product Description, Applications
KIMAX Glass Drainlines, by SCHOTT North America, Inc., are transparent borosilicate glass pipes and fittings ideal for use in research, schools, industrial labs, hospitals and chemical, food and other processing plants. Designed to be comprehensive, sustainable solutions for acid waste piping and neutralization systems, the glass used for the drainlines is impervious to almost every known corrosive and reagent, including acids that would destroy most plastics.
KIMAX Glass Drainlines are available in 1.5" through 6" (38 - 152 mm) diameters, with a full assortment of fittings, and are joined with bead-to-bead (B/B) and bead-to-plain end (B/P) compression couplings. Moisture and chemical-resistant, the glass lines can be used above ground or underground, and, when installed with firestop sealant, meet UL 1479 and ASTM E814 safety standards for drain and vent systems.
