An alternative to traditional drywall, veneer plastering consists of a gypsum core panel or sheet with a layer of veneer plaster troweled on the surface of the board. Developed in the 1950s, high-strength veneer plastering is moisture and mildew resistant. It is also resistant to denting, cracking, and scuffing.
