There have been numerous forecasts on when Peak Oil (that time when global oil capacity begins to diminish) will finally arrive. The New York Times today did an excellent piece in their Green Inc. section where new information has been presented stating that we've still got a few decades before we reach peak, and that there will be a few decades beyond that before any sort of scarcity sets in.
